For the last two days our group has been split into two groups. The first group has been chopping down dead trees to collect firewood and dead shrubs. The second group has been shoveling shale into potholes so that the camp roads are smooth. In case you don’t know what “shale” is, I’ll tell you. Its parts of rock that come from the mountains they are blasting through to make roads. When the mountains are exploded into pieces those pieces are called shale, and they have loads of it.

We have been bonding well in each of our groups and at the campfire times. We are encouraging each other, meeting new people and growing together as a team. Tonight will be a night where we relax and unwind together, while preparing for our next day of service. At the end of each day we’re tired but happy that we have been used by the Lord.

Please keep us in your prayers for the days ahead and we’ll keep you posted

Blessings,
Darryl
